About the cooperative venture
The Zagorje Hills Turkey farming cooperative was established towards the end of the year 2003 and was incorporated into the trade register by the Zagreb Commercial Court. The seat of the Cooperative is in Krapina, Magistratska 1. The cooperative is managed by Ivan Malogorski,a graduate in economics. The cooperative's basic activity is the breeding and marketing of the Zagorje turkey. Currently it has 39 members who breed turkeys on their farms in already mentioned traditional way.As part of a project launched by the Krapina Zagorje County government , backed up by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia, the cooperative , whose primary goal is to expand the production of the Zagorje turkey, was followed by its branding using the same name as the cooperative- it is The Zagorje Hills Turkey brand, registered as such by the authorized Croatian institutions. Our cooperative has been, so far, the only one to meet the requirements as stated by the regulations.
The brand was established mainly for the purpose of controlling the quality of the product, with a special emphasis on the strict control of the traditional methods of turkey breeding. Our brand will enable you to experience superior gourmet pleasure in a certified healthy product, marked as such by an authorized veterinary institution, of controlled origin, that is to say authentic , which you can check yourself by visiting our farms ( group visits can be arranged at your request). The Zagorje turkey-hens and turkey-cocks are sold custom-made, oven-ready or frozen, with or without offal. An oven-ready turkey-cock weighs around 4.5 kilos, whereas turkey-hens' weight is about 3 kilos.

Price: 500 kunas a packaging, VAT included (around 70 euros or 100 dollars). The price does not include delivery, which is free within 50 km.
